Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are Semiconductor Startup that is in advanced stages of development working to deliver a processor which combines the functionality of a CPU, TPU, and GPU to handle heavy AI, ML and HPC workloads.
We are seeking Senior / Mid Level Design Verification Engineers who come from a flexible and complex background, are well versed in subsystems, and are proficient in things like LUA, C++, UVM, and SystemVerilog.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Sunnyvale CA or Las Vegas NV.
What you will be doing
- Review product designs noting likely points of failure
- Design verification methodology based on product designs and failure points
- Determine test environments and verification tools
- Plan the method of sequence for testing operations
- Institute and tweak testing mechanisms and protocols
- Writing up final test procedures and training QC staff
Responsibilities (must be proficient in some/most of these areas):
Verification Environments & Tools
- Architect and implement verification environments and tools
- Develop regression infrastructure architecture and implementation
Processor and GPU Architecture
- Understand and verify processor architecture, including execution pipelines
- Verify GPU or vector processing engines architecture
Memory and Cache Systems
- Architect and verify cache hierarchy and Memory Management Unit (MMU) architecture
- Implement and verify cache coherency protocols
Standard Protocols
- Verify standard protocols such as PCIe and DDR4/5
Verification Processes
- Develop verification processes and test plans
- Implement assertion-based verification using SVA/OVA
- Apply functional coverage methodology and implementation
Formal Verification
- Utilize formal equivalence checking tools like Jasper
- Employ theorem provers such as ACL2
