EHSQ Specialist

Position Overview
The EHSQ Specialist is responsible for ensuring environmental, health, safety, and quality standards are met across operations. This role involves conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to promote a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance within the organization, particularly in chemical and water treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to EHSQ regulations and standards.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze data related to safety incidents, quality metrics, and environmental performance.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to OSHA, EPA, and other relevant authorities.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee hazardous materials management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Promote sustainability practices within the organization to minimize environmental impact.
  • Facilitate training sessions on EHSQ policies and procedures for staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHSQ roles, preferably in chemical or water treatment plants.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA).
  • Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies and compliance auditing.
  • Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials management and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
