Electrical Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for in the bidding process. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in estimation software, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects based on blueprints and specifications.
Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.
Utilize estimation software such as Accubid to generate accurate estimates.
Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure all aspects of the project are covered in the estimate.
Maintain an organized database of historical project costs for reference in future estimates.
Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure competitive pricing.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and present estimates to clients.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Proficiency in estimation software, preferably Accubid.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
