Payroll Director
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $90-130k DOE
Position Overview
The Director of Payroll will oversee the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple states. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with California pay legislation and managing large-scale payroll operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the payroll department, ensuring accurate payroll processing for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including California pay legislation.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager.
- Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure alignment of payroll operations with organizational goals.
- Monitor payroll processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage payroll audits and respond to inquiries from employees and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, with a focus on multistate payroll.
- Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager.
- Strong knowledge of California pay legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing large-scale payroll operations and teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
