Position Overview

We are one of the leading companies in the InsurTech space. Being backed by State Farm, we have compiled a team of the best and brightest from around the insurance world. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data science and insurance to drive strategic initiatives and provide actionable insights. This role involves analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and enhance decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced data models and algorithms to solve business problems in the insurance domain.
Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and inform pricing strategies.
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop data-driven solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to enhance pricing models and assess risk factors.
Prepare and present reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data science (insurance experience is a plus).
Strong proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques.
Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Familiarity with pricing analysis, pricing models, and telematics data.
