Job Title: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Durham NC- remote friendly
Salary: $155k to $175K+ benefits and bonus
Requirements: Python ecosystem, Full-stack Development, Biotech/healthcare software experience preferred*
A fast growing biotech company driven by innovation with headquarters just outside Durham and a flexible, remote friendly environment is looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer.
The ideal candidate would be highly experienced in Python and its ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas etc), full stack development (React, RESTful APIs, and containerization tools. A background in biotech or life sciences healthcare software is another major bonus.

- Bachelors of Compute Science, Engineering, related field. MS preferred
- 7+ years professional software development experience
- Expert-level Python and ecosystem ( NumPy, Pandas, SciPy)
- Strong experience with data management (SQL and NoSQL databases )
- Proven track record in full-stack web development (React, Node.js, RESTful APIs), experience with AWS, containerization tech (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, data structures
- Comfortable with agile development practices, experience with CI/CD
- Experience with biotech, healthcare software development, and/or workflow management systems experience preferred
