SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement & Planning, the Supply Chain & Planning Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory management, inventory accuracy, production planning and work order management. The individual in this role will maintain accurate inventory levels, perform inventory adjustments, conduct all inventory planning functions and work with the warehouse manager on monthly cycle-count program.
PROJECTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, implements, and monitors inventory control procedures with internal and third-party warehouse.
Develops a cycle-count process and works cross-functionally with finance and operations to maintain raw materials and finished goods accuracy.
Verifies output quantities and process consumption of materials based on actual usage for the Franklin plant.
Reviews, analyzes, and compiles reports on consumption variances weekly.
Manages programs to reduce material waste based on variances and other cost savings initiatives.
Maintains item masters and bill of materials, ensuring all data is accurate and consistent.
Maintains weekly production schedule to ensure customer orders are met and inventory levels stay on target.
Provides production schedules to the manufacturing team daily and when changes become necessary.
Creates a finished product inventory rotation procedure and ensures product is shipped in compliance with the process
Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager to train the warehouse team on proper inventory transaction processes.
Provides backup support for procurement and planning.
Complete training related to food and personal safety as required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of raw materials, production/manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory control, quality control, costing, and other techniques for maximizing the safe and effective production and distribution of food products
Exceptionally detail-oriented with a keen attention to detail and emphasis with numbers
Strong project management and organizational skills in which the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time is essential
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, excellent situational adaptability
Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement
Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures.
